i know you're not supposed to take books literal, but portland to seaside is like an hour and 25 mins, more if there is portland traffic, and this character is getting up, eating breakfast,hopping in her car heading to portland, shopping and all that, then heading home before lunch. not to mention the drive is absolutely stunning, the countryside and mountains, and not a word of it was mentioned.
