Jagged Peak don’t cause trouble challenge: failed
Jokes aside, the writing really isn’t that bad. I was worried I had ignored that as a kid lol. It can be a little awkward sounding because of the cat stuff, but otherwise it’s really not annoying in any way.
I really do like Gray Wing, I wish they’d taken just a hair more time building up his love for the mountains and the pain of leaving.

Gray Wing immediately being into Storm always felt dumb to me, but I’m realizing that’s because I just can’t have a crush without knowing someone well lol. Turtle Tail suddenly being annoyed by him seeing Storm always felt off. She never cared before, and she’s meeting someone all the time, too.
I like Wind and Gorse, I like that we get introduced to them when they’re already a pair. It’s a fun dynamic.

I love maps in books but I have to say that the ones included are absolutely not helpful.
Clear Sky continues to be annoying, he gives “the golden older brother” vibes.
Also I always hated that Shaded Moss died when they were so close to the end of the trail :(

Seeing some of the cats’ skills makes it kind of fun to guess and remember who will end up in which group/clan.
It’s also really funny when the cats interact with things that are mundane to us like sheep.
I think I like Cloud Spots, he’s real chill.
