Of course, when an Outlander fan sees "je suis prest", matched with Jamie Fraiser they can only think of what they had once read, her words. However, even from the start, this, a much different Scottish tale, all though, of despair and the "Fraiser way", driven away from the land he loves.I am only happy to have found J.Sayles, this book, for a different perspective of what I have once read, maybe wholly diff?idk yet

Book is very different than what I expected but, you get to see what happens to Highlanders after 15, "the big war" they lost and what life was like for them. I am at the part where jamie and his brother get to live, not hang, and get shipped out as...?? I really like as it is different than all other highland books and really, war books...what happens "after" is never really the focus but is, here & jamie, no warior
