enjoyable, cute summer story, coming of age with a relatable character, the only issue i think, with the book is that the story would have done better in YA genre, written for a teens p.o.v. but as all know adults still love the YA books, as I do, however, I think there are many lessons in the story applicable to teens today, help them to relate to things they deal w/ now, just think the read is great 4 teens

grew up in a Polish family but we were a little more separated from the culture. didnt expect to hear the story from the abusers p.o,v , a change of pace, also relate as to the fact I had an abusive stepfather who liked to use prayer for his own sadistic means, does not help a child who is the victim of things like that grow up having a good outlook on their spirituality, have no idea where the story is going yet,

pretty good mystery, not as many twists to the story as others (which is good, at times). like that the weapon of choice is snake venom as the weapon may turn out to be an actual snake. didn't see some of the twists coming, and that there is more mystery here than once thought. overall a fast read, fast paced and worth picking up

reading as a stand alone, without the first and has been easy to pick up which is oddly great for a fantasy genre as I have NEVER been able to do that before. cast of characters in the quest is great and, at this point, it looks like there could be a new addition of two others, a brother and sister of a race that had not been known to survive the group comes upon, fast paced, dont like to put down & much here

what is going to happen, now with the trouble the main character is in and what was the place she and her friend found on their excursion? who were they, what were they there and why are they now in trouble for what they saw? are the terms of service going to work for her, if she stays the "perfect" citizen and does all they want, can she stay perfect even for all the extras she now has, like sweets she never had b4?

Engaging, edge of your seat book and I wonder how the main character will pull this all off, separate himself from the order in the many ways he wants to...find his wife, protect his son and himself, how he will keep himself alive to do all this...an, what, if anything, did the order have to do with his wife's death..did they kill her just so that he would be looking for her and then they could get to his son? scary

capturing, hard to put down..Curious to see where the story leads as the main character has just had her life flopped around and now, has been pressed into duty, has to be the "perfect" citizen "or"...I just wonder if she down not succeed, what will happen and where she had gone, the place she and her friend had wandered into, got in trouble for, what was the place, why was it there and who were the ppl there?

Book is a fast paced read. Oddly, my ADHA addled head does not wander and need refocused here. The norm I want to think of 100 other things and even with the best books I love I need to tell myself, at least a few times, focus on this! Here, however is a book where I start reading and it does not do that. As I am not far in IDK why. But, the murder happens right away, no need to dance around other things for 100pgs

Awesome read. Also reading Escaping the Dashia right now and the two, seem to pair well together. Strange seems like a wild west tale on an alien planet w/ civilization set up there and then, when loosing contact w/ Earth everything is falling apart and everyone is out to get theirs regardless of civility. Main.char, a young girl does not understand all this as she was raised w/ morals, values & all that is lost

Fast paced book. Mystery starts right away and I like the way the author writes as readers (at least me) are able to sit back and get right into it. There is no need to refocus my ADHD addled head which wants to wander, which is strange because even when I love a book my mind still floats to a hundred other things I could be thinking about without thinking to do it. But for some reason no need to refocus here.

Every week I want to try and read a throw back time travel book and this week, it is this one. While I may have been reading it for a little over a week now (as I have so much to do) its really an awesome series. Sometimes when I read books like this I wonder how popular the following would have been had the Internet been around & w/good promo. Cause this book is def. one of my favs and seems like its lesser known

these stories are amazing, cute, like reading a book of children's fairy tales but for adults. more like adult circus fairy magic love stories. they are really fresh, new, inventive and a twist on what we think of fairy tales...there is one with a Pipish character (mid summer) a fairy who falls in love w/ a dead who is in love w/ a guy who was supposed to die 2 so the fairy teaches her to haunt him, so lol, muchfun

good ya novel and very relatable to my life, as it was sometime ago. the poor kid though, all that he has been through hasn't even been revealed yet. the author gives you snippets and slowly pieces together what happened in the story to get the characters to the place, where they are right now. Gonna spend a little more time w/ this book today as I am further in others and want to piece the story together more

Like a horse race, this one is at the front right now. Really love the characters and the magical world here. the characters that are chosen to carry the storyline are great, so far. this is going to be a really popular book when released and i didnt want to put it down

best paranormal world created, back story is great, animosity between the lover and the oldest brother, and, actually, the lover might end up helping out, solving a problem that no one can and all the while little brother is trying to kill the elder siblings so he can have the "family" power which, in all reality (their reality), would not even happen as the eldest cannot transfer their power in death to younger

Great book and a definite recommend. The book is the Wild West in an off planet of Earth. Not knowing what has happened to Earth, those don't want to take the one trip, risk the limited gas, in case Earth is gone, to go back. But, as supplies dwindle and people begin to fear the future with no partnership with their mother planet, thus The Wild West happens. However it is a frustrating read as The Wild West is unfair

Love, love, love this book. All the characters, in their "grown-up" world...it really shows what friendship can be like. I find the storyline very realistic but, normally books that are like that, never are that interesting. These are peoples everyday lives but, the writer has managed to make them a good story. Three married couples and what life is like, growing into old age, together.

Enjoy the opening pages, that the story presents itself from the pov of a husband and wife. always like to see the difference in their lives, from each pov, and that, as a married couple, they basically should be living the same life but, like this book, they seem to be totally out of synch, hiding things from one another, and dont even know all about one another. how is this possible when under the same roof?

wont b surprised to c where the story goes, if the boys killed the principal of it wasnt one of them...he had a lot of enemies. and, wouldnt be surprised if they are convicted despite being innocent or even worse, innocent yet still convicted by being put in the system as an accused murderer...that their whole life is ruined by the accusation. the school provides institutionalization rather than schooling, it seems

Book is very different than what I expected but, you get to see what happens to Highlanders after 15, "the big war" they lost and what life was like for them. I am at the part where jamie and his brother get to live, not hang, and get shipped out as...?? I really like as it is different than all other highland books and really, war books...what happens "after" is never really the focus but is, here & jamie, no warior

What it is about the book? I don't know. But, by the end, I hope to put my finger on what it is I love about all of it...

I had a better comment to write but, was interrupted w/ a phone call from my husband and all his bs takes the life out of me, but, really enjoy this book more so than I thought, started two great books tonight, both a different genre and both good. This is a fantasy tale much different than writers like Brooks and Wheel of Time more like an adult fairy tale, enjoying it, so far & a sad start w/ death of kings wife

The story only gets zanier, as if it wasn't weird enough But I think where when the murder victims funeral includes a gingerbread cookie made to symbolize the dead & all those who came are asked to partake in eating that cookie..I can't wait to find out, did the gingerbread man kill himself, I guess if the cookie did it, in the end, with how crazy the book, the characters have been, it would all be left to make sense

So, since I am back so shortly and covered so much ground, I must say, this book, really in a league far superior than what I expected (no offense to the author). But, as I don't find many stories like this as engaging as this one, it's really a good story, character set up, what is going on. And, I can't wait, even before the book is over, left to wonder what will be next in the series, where the author will go

I don't know what leads me here, after the first chapter, right after I crack open a new book. But, already, I can tell that this book, far superior only because it covers a subject so little cover when writing books, women who wanted a voice, had a voice, when women's voices were not heard. These are the women who give me the passion I find that I loose, now, as an adult, so sullied by the cruel world I have lived in

Of course, when an Outlander fan sees "je suis prest", matched with Jamie Fraiser they can only think of what they had once read, her words. However, even from the start, this, a much different Scottish tale, all though, of despair and the "Fraiser way", driven away from the land he loves.I am only happy to have found J.Sayles, this book, for a different perspective of what I have once read, maybe wholly diff?idk yet

Getting further into the investigator, Ded's world, and Icky's (the dead poet) I am befuddled by the strange things that go on in the book. It is nothing if not one of the most unique reads ever, literature on another plane of existence and writing far and beyond what I deem best of the best. It is the novel every writer wants to write and the book that is too unique not to love.already, so early. whodunit?? no idea

Got my book late last night and, from the beginning, I could tell this was an author who cares very much about his work, his writing. As the book opens, I am surprised by how different the story is, from what I expected. But, that only made the book better as, if it was what I expected, it wouldn't be original? I feel as though this author reaches through the pgs, hoping to make a connection w/ his readers. Love it!

I have got to say this book is one of the best I have ever read! And, for the first work of serious literature, from the author, I am amazed. Def. "buy the hardback when released" author on my shelf. I HATED that I had to put it down and do other things and wish I had a day to sit down, with no interruption and read the whole book in one sitting, had I had the time I would have! This book makes me feel like I'm home
