IMHO I'd find it much more believable that she saw a scary spider on the floor and Googled it on her phone there and then (after covering it with a bowl, pan, and laundry basket, like a normal person would, of course) than that she randomly researched Arizona wildlife before this trip and remembers specific details from that information while in crisis. This wasn't a hiking trip, she's not a creepy critter fan, so..?
