*Spoilers* I’ve enjoyed the campy cheesiness of these books but only 5% into this one and I’m disappointed that a woman centered/empowering series would have two of its primary heroines react so weakly to romantic ultimatums from supporting male characters. Folding at ‘marry me or lose me’ and worrying about hurting male feelings isn’t a characteristic of a woman who values herself. Nor is it romantic. Ick.
