"Do you ever find God's Word offensive? When that's the case, are you tempted to assume that "maybe we are all just interpreting it in the wrong way"? If so, why would you assume that something is wrong with the Bible and not assume that something is wrong with your understanding and your desires? In other words, why would you give yourself the benefit of the doubt and not God's Word?"

"Christian, I pray that God will deliver you from any pride you have in your giftedness. The gifts God gives to us, he gives for serving others. They should never be regarded as ornaments for drawing attention to ourselves. They are not for show, but for work. Therefore, purpose to bring glory to God in the way you employ your gifts; use yourself for God's good."
