Who are these ppl who build/buy/renovate houses and therefore gift themselves mortgage payments that are greater than I've ever earn in a month and do all this to impress their friends? I can't relate.

The idea of spending $12-14k/month for a house is a concept I can't comprehend. Like...I could live so well off that as income. And the homeowners still have gripes. >.<
I also really wish this was written after/during the Recession so the devastation was more realized and our waywardness more reckoned with instead of hinted at.

Thankful for the heads-up that this is focused on rich ppl. That this was published before the bottom fell out of the housing market and started a recession is felt in the tone. Can't tell the future.
