Okay so I admit, I have watched the movie before finishing the book but I'm glad I did because its better than the book. For one, you don't have to put up with the writing, and two, I think I like movie Ana and Christian better than the dull book characters. What I like the most is the twilight parallel, which I didn't expect to like, but it works. But the movie had made the book more interesting for me to finish it!

I thought I'd read the book before wat hing the movie...I'm half way in and wish I didn't. The writing is awkward and the characters are dull. I don't feel a connection with the heroine which makes the pacing seem so slow. Oh and was Ana the main character or was it her Inner Goddess? Wasn't too clear for me. Maybe it was her spectacle wearing subconscious? :/
