Coincidentally, this is another story that can be enjoyed in tandem with trips to Y*uT*be: in this case, to listen to classical music pieces. I remember those Czerny piano fingering exercises!.. or something not unlike them.
I kind of wish Mashiro or Kon could interact with anyone male without a looming specter of romance or romantic rivalry. Their isekai selves are 8, for pity's sake.

Mashiro's final year of elementary school has arrived! Hoping to finish this by tomorrow.

Halfway into this book, I'm somewhat surprised that the "romanceable" characters are the least interesting thing about it. Both they, and the visual novel-like scenes involving them, feel rather stagey and dry. I'm much more interested in Mashiro's progress with the piano, and the underlying suspense plot.

So far, it's cute and fun. (seven-year-olds do not ooze pheromones in any context, though. stop that.) I think this is the first light novel I've read where an isekai protagonist's memories of their family that was left behind had any relevance whatsoever, so that's cool.

It feels like a long time since I've read a light novel, but it's only been November. The title's font has some round, musical note-like embellishments--very cute, and in keeping with illustration on the cover.
