Gosh, this is such a mess, I love it.

I just wish the blatant misogyny wasn't so blatant. Camilla isn't even seen by Julien, or at best seen as "one of the boys" and whenever she's in a scene there has to be a description of what she looks like; while the other women, that are barely there, are either whores or ugly.

I also wish that Julian was the mastermind puppeteering Henry while he is controlling the other 3.

I really want to at least like this book, but my God is it hard! I've started to ignore the way Richard thinks and describes every women he meets as an object of his desires or how useful she is to him - of course after describing the way she looks, cause otherwise how would we know if she is to be treated as a person - and if he does not find her attractive or useful in some way then why the fuck does she even exist
