Okay, so, chapter 7 was nearly 25% of the entire book.

Chapter 12 was four words.

FOUR. WORDS.

"The ocean was vast. So much more of it than land, the distant islands, mostly small and uninhabited, were nothing more than dropped pebbles of green in the sea, sinking more each day. Water was the dominant force. It seemed wrong to call the planet" Earth" when it was so clearly ruled by water."

Not really sure if I want to finish this or not

"remembering the forgetting of past tequila nights" what on earth?

I think the formatting of those text messages got a little mixed up...

Okay, I think I'm getting what's going on now

It's annoyingly pretwnty, but it does make me think sometimes

"Tom had looked at [his daughters] with a pride and an unshakeable, protective sort of love that it had hit [me] in the gut. How many people had looked at [me] like that? Later, too late, [I] also wondered, how many people had [I] looked at like that?"

(quote switched to first person for clarity)

"this letter felt alien, a question in a place that had only ever given her answers"

While I'm not loving the writing style, I love this quote

Okay, I have very little idea of what's going on and this writing style is not making things any easier

It seems that these sentences are either 3 words long, or 300

It's a little exhausting already
