What in the Cassandra Clare is going on here. Elayne is so incredibly obnoxious in this book. Begins flirting with Thom, suspects Thom might be her father, still flirts, like what? Listen, I'm glad it stops but the bit where they discuss Elayne feeling like it's some sort of womanly competition? To prove she's woman enough? There are plenty of other, more appropriate men to flirt with. Whaat? Automatic star deduction
