i read this book for the first time at the start of the year, and i loved it so much that i wanted to immediately reread it...i read the first Vorkosigan Saga book by Bujold the other day, because many people said it was better, but it didn't touch me at all in the way this one did (even though it was good). even though there are other World of 5 Gods books to read, i gave in to the urge to reread this already....

i fell in insta-love with Cazaril & that is *NOT* something that happens to me almost...ever. if it happens, it's a slow build to mildly, transiently lusting after characters, enjoying the romance, fleeting feelings for fictional crushes that dissipate quickly post-scene
but he is so kind, and gentle, thoughtful, afraid, genuine, and broken. i want to see him heal. and, i wish i could have a conversation with him.
