"After what seemed like an eternity to me, I finally found the courage to lift my gaze and smile. "Nikki Evans," I said softly. keeping my hands glued to the table as he came closer and kissed my cheek. I felt the heat radiating from his body get warmer and warmer as he got closer to me. The touch of his skin as he gently brushed my cheek with his soft lips was electrifying, making me blush once again."

"His hands were in his pockets, his sleeves rolled up, showing off his muscled tanned forearms. I aw a tattoo that traveled from his rolled up sleeve straight to his right forearm ending at his wrist. Ink covered his arm with a beautiful carved kitchen knife chopping a rose, its petals flying off from the strength of the harsh cut. It felt broken and sad, giving me a sense of hollow sadness I was familiar with. "
