When I broke my arm or needed a MRI to check on a lump or anytime doctors talk about a procedure, money never ever, not once even crossed my mind. You don't go into debt because you have medical needs. Even without health insurance, procedures are "cheap" compared to the US.
Also: Taking sick leave does not get you fired. So much for "The land of the free." Free to suffer and die.
