Pretty rough stuff - rape and scalping and use of the n-word (in context and spelled colloquially). If you like gritty revenge stories set in the mountain man era of the western frontier, this series might be for you. Main character isn't that likeable, so hard to cheer for him, but his friends seems to have good hearts just trying to survive a betrayal after The Rendezvous.
