throughout marjanes story, she has many internal supports that change her thoughts. Without her internal supports, she would not have stuck up for what she believes in and stand up against the wrong.

I think that the way Marjane compares how she thinks people will think about her actions are different from the reality. She hears one person say that she did the right thing, to stick up and use her survival instinct but she doesn't realize that this was wrong.

Mary has an aha moment when she takes all of her antidepressants all at once. She wakes up 3 days later and realizes that she should have died but she thinks that it is a sign that she should live.

I think that the reason that Maryj didn't tell her parents or anyone about her experience in Australia is because the four years that she lived there really changed her mindset and she didn't want to bring anything back.

i think that when maryj compares herself before she left for australia and when she got home, she learns a lot about her self. she learns that she took everything she had before for granted and she really changes herself.

there was an again and again moment where Maryj gets expelled from her new school. What makes this an again and again is she stands up to the officials of her school because she wants to spread her opinion.

Maryj learns in her new school that things are different and she can be who she is more. She teaches the girls things that she knows and the girls teach her their language

An again and again occurred when Maryj town started getting bomb, everyone was leaving to avoid the bombing but Maryj was determined to stay at the town. I think she does this and rebells against the girls that are enforcing the veils because she wants to make a change

Uncle Taher says that the war has just begun. I think that he says this because since they declined the peace offering, their cities are still being attacked.

I think that the parents of the kids who go to school are right, it may be one of the only schools in the area but they do not treat the kids like they should be. They have to beat their chest 2 times a day and cannot perform any kid activities
