- We’re more than halfway through now and looking at this list of suspects we’re nowhere near a conclusion. There’s still so many questions and not any definite answers. Hopefully things fall into place soon because rushed conclusions undermine a good mystery.
- “He never knew what she was going to say next.” That’s right, gotta keep ‘em on their toes. Roni is a pretty unique protagonist!

- Well I guess I spoke too soon because things have majorly escalated in the past 2 or 3 chapters. Yay!
- I just love it when it seems like the mystery is solved and everyone accepts it because it’s convenient and neat but the protagonist keeps thinking about it and makes everything messy again by continuing to pursue the truth.
- Poor Brian almost killed that guy! It’s a good thing Roni told him to go.

- I love how short the chapters are. It’s great for the pacing and it makes me feel like I’ve read loads really quickly which is great encouragement.
- This book is very quirky. The two protagonists are outcasts and a bit weird but I quite like how different they are.
- I especially love the unexpected race discussion. Just slipping it in there and normalising Asian-American characters in a 2000s MG book!
