I noped this book about ten times and am only at 25 percent. I am going to take a break and read some Dean Koontz.
Main problem right now is that there is no depth at all to the male hero Nathan. He also acts at least 10 years older than he his. He's 27 in this story and I can't put that age and his mannerisms and how he acts together.

Meg in one moment says she's never done it only discussed it with her husband before he got sick and next seems to know every little thing about it. I wish this wasn't so clunky and we got some idea she was a sub before this just got brought up

Right now we have two people who just freaking met going about a BDSM relationship.
Yes the 27 year old Nathan with one night of sex has identified Meg as a submissive and they are now about to have sex for the first time though she's never done submissive sex before and I have no words. Though we quickly turn into Meg knowing all about BDSM when Nathan starts asking her about what she does and doesn't like.

And I love she called her best friend to discuss things (totally something I would do).
The sex scenes are really explicit, but I enjoyed them. Though I did think it went on too long. At least there was the right amount of raunchy and talking for me.

fish and chips does not make this story take place in London. I hope more of the city gets included in here. The only places we've been so far are Nathan and Meg's flats and their neighborhood pub.
I like Meg, but she's already doing the where is this going dance and taking him calling her "love" as more than it is. Meg is more interesting to me than Nathan so I am enjoying the parts of the story focusing on her.

sounds like something techy. If he turns out to be rich I'm going to roll my eyes so hard they are getting stuck. So far the only time I liked this guy was when he left a note for the heroine. Everything else about him is doing the I am alpha male, you are female thing is off-putting.
Additionally, this story could be taking place anywhere since it doesn't read like London to me. Having the characters eating

And of course he feels something for Meg though they just met a second ago. I don't know why authors do this in romance/erotica novels. It is okay for characters to meet and have sex. Heck I applaud it. It doesn't have to just be insta love or insta feelings (i.e. there was something about her that pulled at him). And he's 27 and appears to be running a very successful business with his sister. I have no idea what it

Without the book description I would not have any details on our female heroine Meg. I assigned her 10 cool points for referring to 'The Doctor' correctly when talking to her kids about Doctor Who but I assume the book will go into her back story a little bit more. So far am not caring for the male hero in this book. His name is Nathan and he is being too handsy with the female heroine after coming to her rescue.
