Alright, I think I'm done. I said I'd try to be more open to dropping, and I think I've hit that point. Daniel continues to play city planner simulator. That can be fun when you're playing a video game yourself, but very uninteresting to read about over and over. The sex continues to be de-emphasized. Daniel just watched the girls get it on without him. That's not my thing; never has been. Really not my jam.

I appreciate that this series puts more care into its story than something like a Logan Jacobs novel does. By the same token, however, it gets pretty dry. I feel like there's a middle ground somewhere to be found there that I have yet to find in a harem/erotic novel. Herald of Shalia was probably the closest to the ideal for me.
Good thing they give a quick recap about characters. I barely remember shit from this.

I was really put off by and unhappy with some of the content of book 2, so that's why I've been putting off continuing this for over 6 months. I didn't even put it on my plan list, like I always do. But I was mildly interested in continuing the plot, so I did figure I'd eventually get back to this. I'll try to be more open to dropping it if I start disliking it, though. Need to get better about that.
