I understand why Tolstoy wrote in a letter how he hated everything about this novel ("all that matters is God and the truth"). I think I speak on behalf of more intellectual art lovers in today's spiritual mass awakening The Lack of character's awareness is driving me Mad but Will definitely continue reading just for Tolstoy's beautiful writing. I'm reading English and Dutch translation just for linguistic interest
