Honestly, call me a literature plebeian but I am living for plot-heavy wild characters running around in the Beijing construction market of 2008. It's also wild that now there's two chases intersecting each other. This is a very fun thriller-paced novel where the consequences are so stupid that the very chase is funny.

These characters are so unhinged, and this plot continues to brew. Very fun that each chapter is an encapsulated short story by itself, a writing style I love.
