"The report seems a foreshadowing of the evil that had entered the world through a distant city in Germany." Yes, we get it, Walter Sickert is a bad man. If your fiction is this blatantly obvious in announcing the killer, it may not deserve the credit it apparently gets.

"I have no doubt that much has been censored and favorably slanted by virtually everyone who’s ever written about him, including contemporary art experts and biographers." I have no doubt it would have been better if you had stuck to writing fiction
