Ok, so far not a fan of the writing style. The author tends to use the same sentence style repeatedly (and most sentences are very long and really could be split into multiple sentences). It’s getting really distracting because there’s no real flow. Hoping it’s just a case of first chapter of first book syndrome and it gets better further in.
