Dear author,
If you have to preface your character's actions with "although the timing was inappropriate..." then you should probably have edited out the actions that follow that statement - it's your gut screaming at you that you're about to do something idiotic. Because striking a business deal in the middle of a crisis?! That's not "inappropriate", that's despicable.
