I knew something like what just happened was going to happen, but it still surprised me. My reaction was, "Oh no!". This is good writing.

Half way through! It's odd, I am very much sucked in by this plot and the writing, but I am looking forward to the end instead of wishing the book would never end. Usually when I like a book this much I want it to last forever.
