This is a slow read. Very dense prose, some in a patois that takes a bit of getting into.

Petra X I read it in print and audio. The audio of this and the Book of Night Women (also Marlon James) was the best I've ever listened to by a long way.

message 2: by Ray (new) - added it

Ray Petra back to life, back to reality or GR anyway wrote: "I read it in print and audio. The audio of this and the Book of Night Women (also Marlon James) was the best I've ever listened to by a long way."

Thanks. I don't really do audio books, perhaps I should try it. I have got into podcasts in the past year and an audiobook is a short hop.

Petra X I rarely do audiobooks either, much prefer print. But, these two books are more than read aloud, they are acted, without adding or subtracting a word. I don't do podcasts, maybe I should!
