Had some time to read this morning in the waiting room at Quicklane Auto Service. I started snickering when great-grandmomma rode the sled over the hill and out of sight. The other guy in the waiting room got up and moved a few chairs away from me.

The cadence, which is similar to "A Short History of a Small Place", only maybe more so, takes some getting used to. But once you do, the book is hilarious but poignant too.
