Damn fascinating insight into cabinet interplay. Though right now it's still in Obama's first year and I can't divine what Holder and Gitmo will ultimately have to do with drones and the questions that lie in the book's title. But perhaps it's just that the policy frustrations of getting the detainees moved became symbolic of the "hassle" of keeping suspected terrorists alive.

Aaaaaahhhhhh I can't put this book down it explains So Many Things I didn't understand about the legal and political complications that kept Gitmo open as well as useful nuance about the President's ideological flexibility when it came to matters of terrorism and the problems inherited from the Bush administration! I feel smart and anxious and tired! Wheeeeeeee :)
