This books takes considerably longer if you stop to try to learn every other song >.> Upside: Beatles are a great way to learn new chords; their songs definitely use a wide variety...

This author is so fkn shady and catty, I love it. I have a musical background (but not NEARLY to this degree), and the MOLUCULAR LEVEL MUSICAL shadiness MacDonald is capable of is unprecedented. Adds an entire level of enjoyment.

It's going to be v hard to get through this book, because it is a linear follow of every song ever recorded by the Beatles, and my faux CD requires me to listen to every song. Also bizarrely, I seem to KNOW every single song (including the cross references to the groups certain songs were originally taken and covered from.) The Shirelles?? The Cookies???
