I usually take the time to really do my research on a book, read the ratings and reviews, and decide whether I would enjoy it before reading it. This ensures that every book I read is a good use of my time. HOWEVER, I am also known for writing funny reviews for really bad books. So if we have some recs of books that are maybe controversial, I can get my review game going again.
