I have this annoying habit where I have all these thoughts as I read and I don't write them down - anyway, Collins is a genius. The satirization of capitalism in America is just incredible. Took me until this novel to put 2+2 together and realize that the games themselves are a metaphor for us sending our children off to die in war. Maybe they die, maybe the come home a hero - forever changed. Chefs kiss all around
