She reviews a fascinating history of the views on marriage and the resurrected life spoken of by Christ in the three synoptic gospels when he is questioned by the Sadducees. It was interesting to see the occasional commentators in the 19th and twentieth centuries that tried to still make a way for the marital relationship to still have some significance in the eternal kingdom.
