maybe it's on me for picking the books that i read but i'm already so tired of autobiographicalish "novels" being told in prose vignettes like i need either a solid narrative or individual essays + something that we lose in trying to tell so many stories in one monolithic story is that we lose interesting characters to keep us interested (i forgot about trish and ...spoiler... thus her death was not as impactful)
