speedrunning “bunny” today so i can read intermezzo tomorrow as soon as it arrives at my door without the guilt of not finishing the book i was reading (even though i do that all the time)

would you guys make fun of me if i logged one fanfiction here (it nearly 1500 pages and has half a million words)

"the monologue" taught me that i don't like reading stream of consciousness but you know in hereditary (i did not watch it but i have seen this scene) when alex wolff's character says "release yourself" to toni colette's character and she goes on an iconic rampage? "the monologue" too captures a mother's rage albeit sans punctuation (i can get behind rooney neglecting quotation marks but draw the line at no commas)

the age of discretion (4) is a fascinating read after reading susan sontag's essay "the double standard of aging" kind of serendipitous almost! heart wrenching but at the same time couldn't help but cringe at the ....boy mom..... scenes idk

while reading this i couldn’t help but think about women’s sports and the conversation around them— the team usa women’s gymnastics team is older than any team we’ve ever sent to the olympics in recent memory, defying the idea that women’s gymnastics is a teenage, even prepubescent sport and oh my i didn’t realize there was a character limit on these lolz

guys i’m sorry 1ll3g4lly streaming the movie series is not enough to quench my hp hyper fixation i must pick up where i left off 3 years ago in my quest to read all the books (im choosing to ignore order of the phoenix exists idc i dislike umbridge that much)

i haven't absolutely devoured a book in so long and it feels so good to sink my teeth into this, i can already feel myself yearning for this feeling when i read another book less emphatically ... :|

maybe it's on me for picking the books that i read but i'm already so tired of autobiographicalish "novels" being told in prose vignettes like i need either a solid narrative or individual essays + something that we lose in trying to tell so many stories in one monolithic story is that we lose interesting characters to keep us interested (i forgot about trish and ...spoiler... thus her death was not as impactful)

i already feel like this is one of those works that i’ll think about forever

the five different serifs r giving me whiplash and it hurts my brain

you could’ve easily used sans serifs to distinguish the online excerpt inserts from the novel like it’s really that simple

also why was the prologue’s type teeny tiny
