After reading Kiev 1941, The Longest Winter and Battleground Prussia, it's so hard to read this book knowing that an inevitable human catastrophe ensues. Worse than his abject jingoism and racial supremacy ideology...he really thinks he knows best for die Germanic Volk while describing other races as vermin & human filth. Dehumanising people as infections paved the way for his Lebensraum plan, Operation Barbarossa.

Lacking profundity, the author definitely read Crime and Punishment.
He acknowledges that writing is not his bag, and it ain't.
