I really want to like this but Brandon Sanderson is really dragging this story out in a way that keeps losing me. Probably because I am more of a casual reader. There are only a few series where I like to sit down and take my time to fully immerse myself for a couple of days. This isn't it.
This makes me a bit sad because I admire Sanderson immensely, as a person, writer, and teacher.

My god, this book is LONG. Sanderson is a madman. Not sure if I like his writing style. And the story feels slow and boring compared to other things I have been reading. But I love the magic system and world-building. Just get going with the heist, will ya?

Started writing a book and am LOVING it. Since Brandon Sanderson's perspective on writing is really illuminating, clear, and practical, I decided to give his books another shot. - I need to read more novels that actually have an original story and well thought-out story plus good prose and stop reading these long LITRPGs that - listening to them - feel more like a D&D podcast than books.
