Tower of Babylon: 8/10

A really good story that discusses human greed, ethical dilemmas of human’s pushing past nature’s boundaries, and our relationship with faith. I loved how it made the conclusion that heaven and earth are the same place and really spoke about humans trying to find more when we are surrounded by beauty.

Seventy-Two Letters: 8/10

This is such an interesting concept of names being used to automate objects. It’s definitely hard to understand some of the concepts in the story but it’s so unique and captivating, I really loved learning about this world. I think there are a lot of parallels with this world and ours and it really speaks to the power of names. I wish the story was longer!

Division by Zero: 7/10
I wasn’t a fan of this story until the end. But the realization that this story isn’t about math and about a relationship made me enjoy it. Comparing Rene’s inability to comprehend that 1 is the same as 2 to her inability to comprehend she is the same as Carl was genius.

Understand: 9.5/10

I loved this story, enhancement of the human psyche is something that really interests me. While at times it’s hard to understand what is going cuz I’m not smart enough, it is really well written and is super imaginative. I have a theory- I think Leon died under the ice and the entire story takes place in his dying moments. Showing his revelation of higher consciousness before death.
