Finished! Read this with the Off-trail Book Club for our summer read-along, and this time it's Sudan in June. This was a colorful collection of short stories (very short, some of them were only 3-pages-long), and the writing and translation were all BEAUTIFUL. There were some confusing stories in here, but there are some in here that are just literary masterpieces that I will forever remember — quite a feat for short stories! Some of my favorites are Passing, The Void, and Next Eid. Definitely interested in reading more literature by Sudanese authors 💜
