Had to pause the audiobook 16 minutes in just to share, but holy crap! I’m not one of the people still under the impression that Paris Hilton is a dumb blonde caricature, but wow. She is more relatable and insightful than I ever could have guessed! Can’t wait to keep reading!

I don't think I could read the creepy parts of her book but am unsurprised by the respect you feel for Paris, Lilli. I saw her new demeanour on "The Drew Barrymore Show". Both girls were dragged from their homes to abusive schools. What parents would accept the terrifying delivery method from their home in the first place?

I completely agree Carolyn! I have had to pause the book a few times and said out loud, “How could her parents do this to her?” It is difficult to read much of this book without crying or getting emotional. It’s unbelievable what kids went through in those schools.
Even though the school made abuse difficult for Paris to report, their initial forcing an unwilling, unknowing child to go had to set off parents' radar.Did you see the Drew Barrymore interview? Drew believed she was out of control and needed some kind of bootcamp. I feel for Paris, who pointed out that she was only went out with friends late, simple teenaged things like that.
This abuse is outrageous, and it should not be tolerated by anyone. Speaking as a teacher I am truly appalled. Why was the school permitted to do this ? I am shaking as I am so angry. Being part of the educational system in the US if I had witness something such as this I would have tried to find a way to expose it. It is so wring, and it could easily scar a student for life! I am horrified to be part of a system that allowed this. Believe me, I would have done anything and everything to expose this travesty! 😱😱😱
