This is where I stop. I've had my fill and I suppose I was being stubborn to think I could soldier on because the writing is enjoyable when it's without this sorta language but being tense while reading is not my idea of fun.
When the narrator is telling stories about the other patients, it is nice and easygoing
When he talks about himself, whoa philosophy

The more I read, the more philosophical it seems to be getting... The narrator is exhausting in being a cesspool of contradictions within himself... He agrees and disagrees with himself, agrees and disagrees with you as his interlocutor as it were
He is utterly fatiguing...

I guess I'm soldiering on... Perhaps coz I hope this writer will also extend courtesy when reading my own title for which this title was exchanged
It is a wonderfully told story, that's reasonably easy to follow, when the appearance of offensive language is abstained from altogether

If I DNF, it won't be because the story is boring or the narration bad
This writer is good at writing, their voice is compelling
I will DNF because of foul language, that is all coz I won't punish my spirit for what might be curiosity as the level of enjoyment has been greatly reduced now

Start of chapter two
Chapter one has an account of incestuous rape, so if you are going to read this, be warned that you may be triggered

The switch in POV was sudden and unexpected there by paragraph three... It was like Zena now speaks of herself in third person or that the narration went from first to third person narration, especially as there are no parentheses to indicate that it is dialogue, on which case it would have come as less of a jarring change since I would be expecting to be informed who the speaker is in the middle or when they stop
