I was pretty interested in this series until they really botched the whole salvation part. One character desperately wants to be saved, doesn’t even get practical instruction at a large campmeeting, and wonders how to get saved. No one can tell her! She never repents and turns from her sin, only one day decides she is saved. Decides! As if we can choose Jesus without Him first calling us and without us repenting.

I’m so glad I found this series! What a gem! I love the old fashioned verbiage and morals. These girls find themselves at an old fashioned Campmeeting and were changed for the good (or bad, depending on if they accept Jesus’ spirit working on their hearts and minds).
