Chapter 5: Winterlight I remember this being one of my all-time favorite chapters in any book, ever, as a kid. We'll see how it holds up. So far, the book is holding up better than I might have thought.

From inn to inn we go. A bit slow in recent chapters, lots of wandering around, some on land some on sea. Action just picked up again, so that's good.

So far, holding up pretty well. It's definitely different reading this as a person who is older, rather than younger, than the main characters. I feel like I'm picking up much more on motivations, rather than just action. I swear, staring at this cover, I feel like a 12-13 year old again, swaddled in mystery, excitement, adventure, and the promise of so much more to come. May the feeling hold.

I must be crazy... I never got past book 7 when I read these before, though I must have read boos 1-4 at least 4 times each in the name of catching up. The only way to even think about doing this marathon, for me, is to take it slow and read other things at the same time.
