It took a while to get into it, but even when I did it was hard to care and be invested - there wasn’t enough detail about the politics for more than a taste, and the late breaking love affair was weird. Billy Kwan was the main enigma and interest in the story and he’s never really explained sufficiently. It’s not focused and therefore nothing quite gets the attention it deserves, leaves you wondering.
