Bad, bad start.
"Do you believe any part of a human being survives death?" A 'hardcore atheist' has to answer this question with a no, according to Jennifer Hecht.
But the elements in our body are part of us, aren't they? And they survive, don't they?
Not an enticing prospect, spending 500+ pages in the company of a sloppy thinker...
