Story unfolds languorously and moves between characters and time frames with ease. Literary enough to keep me reading but warming like the summer sun. Great reference to Georges Sand's "A Winter in Mallorca" another love letter to this region. Nichols' prose has the fragrance of fresh lemon, olives and almonds wafting in the air above the page.
