God I fucking hate this scene.

I’m so tired of this action plot. Ugh. What kind of police doesn’t even carry? It’s like listening to a horror movie where they do stupid things. This book hasn’t even made me cry once. Such a striking difference from the previous books.

See, it happens again. Them being stupid enough to not call for help. Why the fuck don’t they just stay inside and call the police or even Liam. Josh. Whoever. So idiotic.

Why the fuck aren’t they calling the police and an abulance? The guy can come back anytime? Jesus Christ. How stupid are they? They’re both drunk and concussed. No way in hell should they get in a car and drive.

It’s a bit baffling how different the books in this series are. First one was relationship-focused with a drug crime in the background, second one a rugby player coming out story, and this third one seems to be a serial killer murder case with focus on the actual case. The case was mostly background noise in the first book, so this has a different feel to it. At least so far.
