Reading this so far has felt like chewing on bread crusts.
Not even toasted crusts, but actually frozen old bread crusts, thawed soggy, smelling and tasting like fishy freezer cardboard iced over

I was one of those avid fans of this author & these series, waiting all these years with no updates or releases I could see. I reread a fave a long while back but it was so shitty I mourned for the brain cells my younger self lost. It was early days when I’d just started reading along with using goodreads, so I had fond memories.
The concept had been unforgettable, the execution = a hot shit stain.
