For a story involving alien races, outer space and intelligent robots…these are some basic ass bitch characters.

Even with the sudden chapter narrative shift with the obvious villain of this story coming into play just now, I’m barely interested

I was one of those avid fans of this author & these series, waiting all these years with no updates or releases I could see. I reread a fave a long while back but it was so shitty I mourned for the brain cells my younger self lost. It was early days when I’d just started reading along with using goodreads, so I had fond memories.
The concept had been unforgettable, the execution = a hot shit stain.

I couldn't finish it. It's been over a month since I started this book and have put it down multiple times, had to force myself to get this far. I was so excited for this book, hoping it would be just as great if not better than the over books. I was very disappointed. There was no build up to their relationship, it was instantaneous from the start. Jane is hardly in the book at all.
